In this last December a cyber attack caused some issues in newspaper distribution system. This matter was happened on last Sunday at USA. Its affected all the major newspapers like Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and Baltimore Sun.
This is indeed a very shocking news. The cyber-attack mainly appeared to originate outside the United States. This attack cause a distribution delays in the Saturday edition.
This is occurred on those newspaper which production platform mainly based in Los Angeles. This is reported by Los Angeles Times.
Tribune Publishing first detected the malware on Friday. Tribune Publishing spokeswoman Marisa Kollias said that the malware hurt back-office systems. It mainly used to publish and also produce “newspapers across our properties”. But there is no such an any evidence that customer credit card informations or even personally identifiable information has been compromised in this malware attack.
The Wall Street Journal and New York Times don’t comment a single word about this issue. Or even about what problems actually caused on their production by this attacks.
A spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security said that, they are trying their best to study the condition which can make this whole attack in under control.
DHS spokeswoman Katie Waldman said that, they are aware of reports of a potential cyber attack which effecting several news outlets. They are also working with the government and industry partners for solving this problem.
